Hey guys
Taking the liberty in on Monday for 4.10 gears and front axle shafts. I am taking all my own parts. (napa reman cv shafts. And 4.10 gear sets)

My question is. Is there anything specific I should look or ask for to make sure they do the job right? Photos of the gear pattern maybe?

If you trust the shop then should be nothing, if you don't trust them, well would be too late even if you did have pictures

Now would be a good time to reasearch how to properly break in new gears.

Sent from my G870a on 38's.

Good point but they are used gears I got from a member on the site. I checked them over, look like they are in good shape

If there's gear whine when you first start driving it - the setup is wrong and there's nothing that can be done to undo the whine.

If they're quiet when you first drive it then you're good to go :waytogo:

Oh,...that changes everything
I never ran used gears sourced from someone else never trusted them

UPDATE, after reading on and seeing Bobs post, totally agree with him
Hopefully no whine
