temp gauge says overheating but it's not

So if there's no white smoke coming out of the exhaust, the oil is not milky looking or anything, no visible leaks, doesn't appear to be boiling over and the coolant level has stayed the same. Will the obd test and pressure test tell me if the head gasket is bad? How else will I know, not missing or running rough.

Oil's not milky
No visible leaks,
Not boiling over
Coolant stays the same,
No miss or running rough,

Common sense tells that it's highly unlikely to have a head gasket leak. How did your technician arrive at that conclusion? Sounds like he may have pulled it out of his ****.

Thank you for all the help. 6 mos. later it was determined it was the waterpump. Also the mechanic that told me to use the Blue Devil, he did replace the thermostat but he broke the casing that holds the thermostat in and has it held on with a C-clamp, and now thats something that I have to get fixed that I wasn't aware of. $350.00 to replace waterpump and flush coolant, after the diagnosis. Now another $150. to fix this. That's ok, at least I know about it now. Thanks again for all your replies. I just posted a new question about my daughter's Jeep Liberty 05, please read it,thank you!
