There's not really a KJ replacement

I drove an Xtera when shopping for my KJ replacement. It drove a lot more like an old truck than the KJ. Pretty rough and stiff suspension (granted, it was a sample size of one)

My GF has a 2015 Escape and likes the Bronco Sport (basically a glorified Escape, but a little bigger), so that might be her vehicle in 3-4 years when her Escape gets on in mileage.

For me, my next vehicle will likely be a KL Trailhawk

I had a 2003 supercharged Xterra for a short time. The Mrs mostly drove and it got horrible gas mileage...because she liked the sound of the supercharger too much. I haven't paid attention to the newer ones, but I liked mine pretty well.
