And ThunderbirdJunkie's underhood insulation was fine before a raccoon started hanging out on top of the cold engine in the winter.

Maybe ThunderbirdJunkie should make that raccoon replace his insulation!

Besides hanging one off the Hitch, it would look cool on the antenna!

With that said

The answer to this question is NO!

It's battery terminal corrosion.

Don't like it? Clean it up. It's called vehicle maintenance.

Oh and that Mopar Power Pro posted earlier is NOT the original OEM battery. That is a dealership replacement. (Or maybe I misunderstood what you said...)

Agreed................

Get a AGM battery and say bye-bye to that nasty corrosion.I'd highly suggest to trade up for the DieHard P4.

Die Hard Platinum? I almost got one, put I think they were out of stock. And the KJ was pretty much on it's last leg battery wise. Starting it was a crap shoot.

Well update us as soon as you return to Sears. Sears closed all the automotive Centers in Canada, so no batteries of any kind from them. The Platinum's supposedly are AGM by Odyssey.
In your original photos under the hood, I was a bit surprised that it has not received your normal weekly cleaning. It appears to need some severe baking soda-water treatments around the terminals:eek: and lots of good engine compartment detailing.
Lets see the photos of your under the hood work with hopefully a new battery installed!:)
