Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can give me a good recommendation for a new set of tires. I have an '06 Liberty Sport, all stock. I use it as my daily driver with some light off-road. Not too much mud, mostly driving through the woods in New England. I've already wrecked one stock tire on a rock in the woods ( small sidewall puncture)

So basically I'm looking for a good A/T tire for on-road use that will be good in the snow, but also something with decent sidewall protection so I can take it out in the woods and not have to worry too much. I will probably be looking for 245-70-16. I'm considering a lift as well, but I'm not sure if it's really worth doing if all I can get is 2.5"-3"

any thoughts? Thanks..

I just installed new tires a few hundred miles ago. Hankook dynapro at-m 245/70r16. Been happy with the ride so far and good reviews on these. Mine is a prelowered '02 and get minimal rubbing at full lock. I have not been off road yet so I cannot let you know how they are there yet.

Thanks everyone.
J-Thompson: I know you're right...I'm looking for a road tire, since it is my daily driver...just hoping I can find something with a little more side wall protection than stock tires. The amount of off-road I do is minimal since I don't have recovery gear and can't afford to wreck my only vehicle.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to get a second jeep, and use it solely as a mud truck.

Firestone Destination AT they wear great, handled great in the snow in Indiana and did really well in the mud at the badlands offroad park.

If I was in the market for an excellent all terrain tire that works great in the snow and pretty desent for light to moderate off road usage, I'd look at the Hankook Dynapro ATM.
All my work trucks had them and when we first got our Liberty, it too had them.
Hard wearing, quiet, and good grip.

The other A/T I'd look at would be the Goodyear Silent Armour.
A friend of ours has them on his KJ and they work excellently in snow and hold their own off road.
