Tires sticking out from wheelwells - how much is too much?

Still won't stick out beyond the fender flare.
Illegal here in British Columbia. The tire has to be
kept within the confines of the stock fender, fender flare.
You get whats called a box 3 and you end up with a vehicle
safety inspection and if a tire so much as sticks out ¼ inch
your vehicle will fail the inspection and then until the issue
is rectified you cannot renew your car insurance, etc.

The old wheels I was looking at when I opened this thread (before I found the Rene wheels) had 4" BS, the Rene wheels of course are stock all around...
