Putting everything back together now for the final install on the rear differential with the TT. I cleaned everything up and have what is either deep gouges or cracks in the tone ring. I have tried to order a new on but they are getting rare it seems and none of them coming fast. I could tig weld the areas and polish back off. There is no evidence of cracks on the other side and looking at both edges they look to be solid. I know there is no stress to speak of on this part, I just don’t want it flying apart in the differential and causing a mess. Am I being paranoid?
