Anybody know what size are in the bumper lights? I need to remove them but I don't think my dad owns any drill bits for torx screws. I'm sure I can find the proper tool at Autozone or Wal-Mart though.

Also, on that same note, anybody know what size torx screws are in the plastic roof rack of an '03 Renny? I tried searching my manual for these but I only have it on my computer and I can't stare at 373 pages of digital letters any longer. My eyes want to pull themselves out of my head.

Let's just say, I'm terrible at knowing sizes off the top of my head and not owning the proper tool is doubly frustrating. I stuck about 40 different bits in there going "Nope...nope...nope...OH!MAYBE!nope..."

Thank you, sirs! I might just go to Autozone and play the "I'm a dumb broad please help me" pathetic act and make them remove them for free. Works 9 times out of 10, even when I know what I'm doing :D

I went through the same thing with my signals and tails. What I did, (and what I'd do in your case) is just buy the tool that has 6 or 7 torx on there. It'll cost you an extra $4 or so, and I can guarantee you'll use it again in the future.

Front signals are a 15 Torx...as for the roof rails I'm not sure. Just buy yourself a cheap set of driver bits with all those in it...cost maybe $10 at Sears or where ever. I keep a set of cheap screwdrivers (which had the Torx bits too) in the back of the "Heep".

That's what I was thinking I'd do. I'm sure I'll use it again in the future! I'll stop somewhere on the way home and pick one up today. If it wasn't raining I could change the suckers out today too :(

You win! They're T15. I ended up buying this socket set for $8 at my local auto store. Comes with a small array of common socket, Torx, Hex, and typical phillips/flathead found in autos. There's like 25 different pieces so couldn't beat it for $8.

If anyone is interested though, I found a 15-in-1 Torx precision screw driver for $3 shipped on eBay.

Not all of them do. I get highly annoyed when I walk into a parts place and they automatically assume I don't know what I'm talking about. Just like the time they told me that my KJ didn't take a PCV valve just because it didn't show up in their computer... so I go to their competitor, and not only does the old guy behind the counter treat me with respect, he finds the part in question, and they also get the sale and my future business. :D

Being informed is better than playing dumb any day... ;) That's why this board (and others like it) is such a good thing.

I am impressed with the ladies who have the knowledge...tells me that they listen...and listening is half the battle. My ex was right there working on my vehicles with me, she didn't mind at all, and she knew what was what.

Sorry Clyde, I guess what I said came out a bit wrong there.
