Some times when I start and move right away after sitting for like 10 hours or more my 06 with 100k miles will feel like the converter has a higher stall speed. Fwd or reverse. Trans works fine, fluid clean, has been serviced a couple times. Is this the forcast of problems in the future?

My 05 with 61k on it does this too. I just blame the crappy Chrysler 42RLE ******. My 02 with the 45RFE never did this even with 179k.
Mine has been doing the same for a couple years, well, since I've had it. More so when it's colder out. I just got in the habit of putting in neutral after starting for 30-60 seconds and seems to help a bit at times. The '01 Ram I had did the same thing. My opinion is it's a Chrysler thing and don't worry about it.

Ya the ole 42RLE can be a bit sloppy & mine was slow when hot, deciding to get back into first after a complete stop.
Many years ago, I took it in to dealer had them flush it, and apparently they flashed some sort of new firmware for the trans.
On level ground & neutral, after driving for 30 minutes, is when I like to check the trans fluid levels.
Mine on the dipstick is slightly above the full line, & it seems to like it there.
When cold outside, I also like to run the Jeep for a few minutes in neutral, so far its performing better with the larger capacity PML trans pan.

My manual says to check in park....dipstick says neutral but I figured the dipstick is probably for a few different vehicles anyway.
Other Jeep guys I've read about or talked to like to overfill the 42RLE by about a quart... say it stops the trans from running dry and sucking air from the pan when the vehicle is on an incline- supposedly also helps drop trans temps a couple degrees. I've had mine 1qt over dipstick *full* for a while, has been fine. But mine also leaks out of the trans pan gasket (heck, probably seeping through the metal of the trans pan too, if you've seen the rust on that thing!)
Jason time for a new trans pan, filter & ATF+4 fluid.
The OEM stamped steel pan would leak after a few months or so, they used RTV and the edges of RTV would break down then leak.
I gave up trying to stop the leaking trans pan issue !
May I recommend this as an excellent solution! Problems solved !

I've seen that one... looks amazing.. but I'm having a hard time justifying in my mind $235 for just the pan- no, I get it, it's deeper, aluminum, drain plug, never gonna leak again... just, $235... I'm already spending $1k for the suspension this summer... and have to repair/replace the AC compressor.. so I'm really thinking that if I can get by with a $40 replacement OE style pan, it'll do for now.
I never had trans pan leaks until about 2 years ago... so it went 13 years, 120k miles - two fluid changes- without an issue. Should be good for another 3 or 4 when I get some time between the big repairs/upgrades this year and when I can feel comfortable putting $300 into a transmission fluid pan. Which, consequently will be probably right after it's time for new tires too.

The issue Towpro initially posted about is quite often associated with a pressure seal somewhere in the trans that's hardened and bypassing fluid until enough pressure builds to force it into place.
While I'm not a big fan of additives (and someone will likely deride the idea) K&W TRANS"X" has been softening seals and alleviating this issue for years.
