The front is the part that slides back into the rear part of the driveshaft ( has the accordion boot )
So according to google and YouTube the accordion part attaches to the front differential

I couldn’t figure out quite what you meant
The front is the part that slides back into the rear part of the driveshaft ( has the accordion boot )
If you look at the front driveshaft it would make perfect sense
Oh well we all try

Well a vandal loosened my lug nuts on one rear wheel, it came off while I was driving 60kph I think my rear suspension is damaged. I ended up hitting black ice and my front passenger side is severely bent. Airbags didn’t deploy so my Jeep might be repairable, but doubtful.

Sorry to hear that happened to you and your KJ. You've got some bad punks in the neighborhood to do that sort of thing.
