Trying to decide on springs

Finally gonna order some new coil springs from jba. It currently has a spacer lift (bought it that way) and the fender height is 23 in the front and 21.5 in the rear. I wanna keep it around 23" and was planning on ironman springs but it seems like u get a little more lift in the front from ome?

I'm gonna use the jba top plate but not sure what size clevis spacer I would need to get it close to 23" ?

With Ironman front springs, its going to be hard to hit 23". With 1/2" clevis and the 1/4" top plate I got to 22" barely. OME springs will net you more and with the clevis and top plate you likely will be close to that mark. Tommudd or some of the OME users can comment more on what will do what. I'm at 22" in rear with Ironman springs, no isolators or anything. I think you'll find the spring lift will ride so much better than what you have now.

Not only shocks but also UCAs since you're going to have spring / control arm contact either way
Best is to keep your lift at 3.5-3.75 inches ( 22.5-22.75) any higher and you'll have above issues.
You can get the Ironman up that high but takes some doing, OME 927s with 1/4 inch top plate, 3/8 inch clevis , plus 948s in the rear with two upper isolators with new front UCAs you're set
well of course bumpstops
or could just buy the Econo kit with .500 spacer in front

That's the setup that I was thinking. I already have new upper control arms so I'm good there. And I'm gonna use Billsteins front and back

My cv's are brand new, as well as my intermediate shaft. So I really don't wanna go over 23". 22.75 to 23" would be ok. As I said its at 23 now and I like the way it sits so I really don't wanna go much lower

funny my left side lasted 9 years, right side replaced twice

Like mentioned at 23 and over UCA/spring contact on bumps etc
best to stay under unless of course you run the JBA adjustable coilovers

When you say "new upper control arms" are you talking about JBA's Gen 4.5 arms? Or new factory arms?

If factory, then the Mudd EconoLift is the way to go since you'll get the JBA arms. If you do have the JBA arms then it's your choice of the Ironman or OME. Of course you could skip the "economy lifts" and go straight for the JBA custom coilover lift - it's on my bucket list :driver:

I'm running OME 927's with the 1/4" JBA top plate and no conduit nuts right now. I've settled down to right at 22" and I want to take it back up to 22.75" so will be putting in three conduit nuts (or maybe just slide the clevis down and forgetting the spacers per Tom & Streetglideok's suggestion.) Mine was a bit of an oddball when I first installed the lift - it sat at 22.75 with just the top plate - but after a couple years of wheeling (especially this past season) it's settled in. Gotta say, it rides even better now and I thought it was darn good before :waytogo:

They are jba upper control arms. I got in a wreck and had to replace the lower control arms, cv's, rack n pinion, and sway bar links. Went ahead and did the intermediate shaft and lower ball joints. And my upper ball joints were shot on the factory arms so I went ahead and got aftermarket ones.

You're in good shape then - gives you lots of options for your lift.

I lived there from 87-90 and still pass through every trip going down home, down to Caldwell, hang a left and head East for 29 miles. Used to run around with some Wilson boys who owned the plastics place. Worked for the City back then writing grants etc
Next trip maybe plan a short M&G

I broke down in Cambridge in an old Plymouth about twenty years ago. Beautiful town, and the friendliest people ever. I was almost sorry when they got my car fixed and I had to leave the next day. :)
