Ok, long story short: out of the blue, I had my aftermarket radio (kenwood nav/dvd with custom built enclosure) not refuse to turn on. it's getting power but will not turn on. ALso, my wipers in the front don't work. Rear ones do... so its not the fuse (already checked it anyway...checked all fuses btw...) for a time my speedometer wasn't working, and even my ODOMETER wasn't working... some jiggling brought them both back... and my remote lead wire from my radio harness is not outputting +12 volts like it should (on both sides of the harness....so my amps aren't coming on... any ideas would really make my day... even if its just an excuse to go work on something! :) Oh I should mention I have a 2005 Libby Renegade 3.7 auto... lol in a major rush...if i missed something please just ask...
thanks a bunch all,
matt

on here
Check your battery first. If it's on the way out it could cause multiple electrical stuff to not work right.

First you need to find a schematic and see what else is on that circuit. Then check those items. If they are ok then its time to trace wires. What fuses did you check.

It's an optima? Oh boy...

Yes... it is... how astute. Thank you for your help....?

I checked every fuse I could find. Every one in front of the BCM, and all of them under the hood, the fusible link, and the fuse in the radio itself (aftermarket)... I dont know if I'm missing any, but I could only get my hands on a crappy diagram from a manual... I tried asking the guys at best buy for a copy of the service diagram, but they were afraid to print it for me.. ugh I guess I'm screwed...?
