I was putting on my hitch the other day and noticed that the underside of my jeep has no undercoating of any type. All that's on there is a thin layer of paint. I've got an 07 sport model. Do you guys with the higher priced models have anything on your undersides from the factory?

Nope. I have a 2003 limited & I have no undercoating & I also have no sign of problems either. I would feel better with something down there though.

Nope. Except Jeepjeepster, who was OCD enough to take everything off and paint the majority of the undercarriage himself :)

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Well in South Dakota(my home state) all new vehicles at the dealer lots must be undercoated before sale.Funny thing is I undercoated my KJ just before I decided to buy it(worked at the dealership). It's not that expensive,it only costs $120 to do,but the South Dakota prices to.

haha, I didnt feel like taking that boot off the splines hyedipin.. If I already had the clamps and the tool it uses then I wouldnt of minded a bit.. I would like to grease those splines too..

The paint could throw it off balance some too..

I would really like to paint the front suspension.. Knuckle, clevis fork, and lower control arm.. It would take roughly half the time as it did the rear suspension took.. I would need an alignment after taking that control arm off and I do not feel like getting another one of those..

But the rest of it is the cleanest/shineyest jeep underbelly I ever saw. I had to eyeball it with my shades on........:D
