Is this normal, I thought a warranty meant just that a warranty! I took the libby in today for a service, and for two things, the multifunction stalk for lights flashes when the wheel spins back and cancels, and the shift interlocking switch, which will not let me remove the key from the ignition, I was told 150 bucks, which isn't a lot but was a surprise

Well to begin with what does you warranty say, whats covered, what isn't, is it from the manufacturer or some aftermarket warranty. read the fine print some warranty's cover more than others. Some cover most everything for a certain number of months/ years then after that you have to pay a deductable etc.
Many differences

A lot of warranties that come from the dealer (non-factory) have a deductible. Just their way of getting some $ for their salesmen not spending $ to get things fixed when a vehicle comes in...

:deal: When I bought the extended chrysler warranty I did not read the fine print. :Stupid Me:
Now that my jeep was out of the original warranty, I noticed a slight leak from the transfer case. So I said, ok time to pull out the extended warranty and head to the dealer, but after glancing through the extended warranty a $100.00 deductable was due. :favorites68:

Fixed the problem my self and saved the $$$. Of Course if there's a major repair that needs to be made the Dealer can fix it for my $100.00 out of pocket deductable. :icon_biggrin:

hmm i guess things just change, prior to last year i had a work vehicle 24 hrs, 7 days a week 365 days a yr, so it have been about 13 years since i actually financed a vehicle back then, they didn't do deductibles, or at least i never had to deal with it, so its a new concept for me(im finding a lot of things have changed since i last owned a vehicle ) lol. Like i didn't know that in my state inspection and registration no longer coincided with each other, back then they both expired the same time. like i said 150 isnt much, but when your expecting 0, it is. I figure 17K for the JEEP, 2400 for an extended warranty wtf is this deductible lol. AT least now i know so if its something small and easy and cheap ill do it myself.
