What is this black material on trans fluid dipstick

Is it gritty? What's the texture? Rust off the dip stick? Mold from moisture intrusion? Worst case is it's clutch material. And allot of it.

Its not gritty, its almost like grease. Dunno how it would be on my dipstick, i feel like its aluminumy grease?

Have you serviced the transmission with Mopar filter & ATF+4 fluid lately?
Doing the pan drop will give you an insight of how much clutch material may be lurking in there.
I do the service every 45k miles, or anytime you get a trans temp light.

Yes i just did mine, not a single grain or speck. But it could be wear residue.

Well if anybody else gets this and wonders; I'm pretty confident it is just residue from the friction of the transmission components. It came off on the dipstick 2 more times and it was less and less and now gone, its the same stuff we clean off the inside of the ****** pan
