Hi,

2006 Liberty Sport 3.7L here... I found this "orphaned" electrical socket when I removed the air box to gain access to the upper control arm bolts.

Anyone know what this is supposed to supply power to?

Could be a number of things that your model did not get such as say cruise control, etc
Only way to find out for sure is to get the wiring diagram and trace it down
Maybe someone with an 06 can identify it right off possibly

On every model there are things , sockets to nowhere

Yeah, mine has what looks like a vacuum actuator back there. I think it’s part of the cruise control.
