Whats this part?

Ok I have a 2007 jeep liberty sport. I have a hose hanging Down from the rear drive line. Can anyone tell me what this is? I am attaching photos to help show what I mean.

Breather tube for rear diff , should be fastened up to the frame
Maybe a good time to install a longer piece to go up into gas filler so you never get any water into rear diff

Ty. So just add a longer piece and zip tie it up somewhere out of the way?

Just not so tight that you close the tube off.

i believe the end of the tube with the plastic fitting would be affixed to the gas tank strap.
There should be a metal piece that goes over the tubing and clips on to the gas tank strap.
Maybe the clip is still there...

Probably a good time to also check /move up the front diff breather to ensure it's still secured.
I zip tied mine here..

A good how-to for extending all 4 breather hoses. Written for KK but the KJ would be 98% the same.
