I went to look at a 2007 KJ that I was thinking about buying. Overall, the KJ is in really great condition except for the rust/rot in the driver's side rear door frame/wheel well. Anyone have an experience with repairing the rotted area? Thoughts? The seller is asking $2,450 for the KJ with 171k miles.

I've honestly never seen that. I wonder if it's been wrecked. Mines an 05 and has been in WI since 2011, it's spotless.

I was wondering the same thing. The current owner brought it with the intention for his daughter to use it, but she doesn't like it. He doesn't know the complete history of the Jeep. At the right price, it may be worth it, but not sure what it would cost to have it professionally repaired.

Not good, mine needs rockers front to rear and a touch up under the doors. But no where near as bad as that. Anything can be fixed of course but too be done right, it's going too be pricey. I'd offer 1800$.

He currently has it relisted at $1,950. I would offer him $1,500 and try to repair it myself. I would need to get my father-in-laws mig welder and head to the junk yard to see if I could cut out the needed metal.
