Just got through putting new head gaskets on my daughters car. I've got everything back together except that hose that comes off the left side of the intake resonator. It looks like there is some kind of valve or filter in it if that helps. It would help me if you could be specific on where it goes. I am a total noob and was so proud of myself for getting it all back together, so having this one stupid hose is frustrating. :)

Oh, it's a 2002 Liberty

Welcome to the forums. I think the valve /PCV breather hose you are referring to, has a one way flow scenario.
Any Members with a 2002.. Have any pics they could post to help out here?

sgarv in0711 -Could you post a photo from L side & above & showing the hose you are referring to?

The 2002 PCV hose/lines are different than my 04.

The factory Manual section may help at the moment under evaporative emissions- Crank Case Breathers has an image- 25-30 -page 1989

Thank you so much for the reply and taking time to take detailed pictures. I really appreciate it. I already have something where your hose goes and I did not remove it when I took the head off. I also forgot to mention that I have a 3.7. The repair manual says my pcv valve is on the oil filler tube, but mine isn't there. Thanks again for the help!

Looks like someone did the reroute of the PCV to the back of the left head. It then goes into the intake as shown. That's the way most 07s are. I'd just put a cap over the opening on the resonator. They must have swapped the oil filler for the 07s too that's why you don't have a PCV attached to the side in the inconvenient location and the ludicrously long tube into the back of the intake. Yay Chrysler...
