Hi, my wife has a 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport. A couple years ago I installed a dock-n-play Sirius radio for her. In order to hard mount it, I trimmed a small section out of the black dash piece (the panel you remove to then remove the radio) that is installed vertically in the middle of the dash area.

Anybody know where I might be able to find a replacement for that piece? I just bought her a new radio that has Sirius built into it and no longer need the dock-n-play hard mount. Obviously that then means the notch in that piece will be painfully obvious.

Thanks in advance for any help you can shoot my way.

I'll sell you mine, replaced it with a shiny one. You'll just have to wait until I get back to the states in early July.

I definitely might be interested. I'm going to try and track one down ASAP but if I can't find it, I'll definitely shoot you a message.

I just can't figure out what the heck it is called. It's the black piece around the radio and thermal controls in the attached pic.

Isn't it some sort of bezel?

My parts catalog says it should be p/n: 05072479AA BEZEL, Instrument Panel, Center

You know, I hadn't even thought of it like that. My mind was stuck on the word "trim". I suppose you and the parts manual are spot on though, "bezel" is a better word.

Really appreciate the quick feedback. I'm hoping to install next weekend so I have about a week and a half to track one down.

(Granted, it's not as if it's some ridiculously difficult piece of trim..er... bezel that needs removed since it pops right off.)

Thanks again, I'll throw that info out on good ole Google and see what sticks.

(EDIT: You snuck one in on me there oneone. Yea, I actually stopped by a junkyard after work today but they didn't have any Liberty's on hand. There's a few more around town so I'll try them too.)

Coyote, you're a searching wizard. I can't believe how expensive they are. Looks like in the `06 they swapped which side the acc power is on. Here's a couple more pics.

I think I'm pointed in the right direction at least now. You guys are great!

Sorry for the dark pics.

(Edit: Looks like it's also called a "Radio Bezel" by some people on eBay. I think these two both work http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...sPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en#ht_4122wt_1141 and http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004..._Accessories&hash=item1c1bda13c9#ht_500wt_932. The pics seem to be in good condition.)

$20 shipped if you're willing to wait (sorry, blame uncle sam). I took it off at about 30,000 miles, its still boxed up with shifter trim. Someone asked to buy it and then disappeared. LMK.
