oh and yeah i didn't get the five for 200, but i got 4 for 100. so hey not too bad really

What about the spare?
The wheels you got require an adapter
To the tune of $50 each
So do you buy a matching 5 on 5 rim and a 5th
adapter
Going this route you may be able to find a cheep single
Wheel for $100 + $50 for the adapter
So those $100 rims cost you $450 + a spare tire
Keeping the OE wheels you could have some really nice tires
For that kind of money

No you don't get it
I replaced my OE wheels with a matched set of 5 OE wheels
With the same bolt patern that was on my Jeep
But they were free
I bought 4 spacers when the larger tires caused problems ,rubbing
But I only needed spacers and the tire carrier did not need an adapter
or spacer
I also use my Jeep to do what a Jeep was made for
So when I get a flat I need a full size matching spare
and I for damn sure don't want to remove an adapter
to install a spare out on the trail
Maybe you don't care but you should
If you were to show up to ride with me I would send you and
your mismatched spare packing

Going to have to agree with this statement.

I have done this more than once
no Tow hooks
No spare
Mismatched spare ,4 33's and the OE spare
"it's a free country this is my Jeep and my choice"
My response "true enough but we are charging $10 bucks to
ride and we choose to send you home"

oh to clarify for j-thompson, when i said i wasn't worried about buying a full sized spare it was in the sense of not worrying about spending the money on one (I"ll spend it happily), since you are constantly berating about costs on buying shit.

Cost is not a factor when it makes sense
Hell I spent near $1000 to put a skid plat on my TJ
But you are spending close to $500 to put rims on a Jeep
That as far as I can tell have some on it now
that will function the same as the new ones you are buying
IMO wasteful
Buy things that count
"chrome won't get you home"

Oh and from the sounds of things you are buying the OE JK
Wheels with the craptastic BFG MT's
I have seen sticks go through the tread and THORNS go through
the side walls so good luck with that

good god man where do you come up with this stuff? i bought rims with no rubber on them, where did it say i was buying BFG MT's? "chrome won't get you home", great saying but alas i'm not buying for the chrome aspect. from what i gather and looking at, these rims are actually pretty ******* nice, a lot nicer then the crappy ones that came on the liberty sport. what's really wasteful? did jeep **** up when they put those rims on their jk's? they're OE parts right thompson? i have some money to upgrade this jeep and i'm doing it, **** you and your frugal whatever sense of what "I" should be spending "MY" money on pal. gee should i tell you what else i spent my money on? yep i will, my friend powdercoats and golly he only charged me $20 a rim, that's another $80 j-******.

Man you really know how to waste money congrats on that
$100 for 4 rims
$250 for 5 spacers
$100 "spare rim" (? Price maybe more or less")
For some thing that serves the same function no better
Than what you have
Factor in the extra $20 or so per tire when compared to
the same for 16" wheels and you can almost get some real
Function
A Detroit locker cost almost $550
So for the $250 install cost you could get something that counts
when it comes to Jeep
Or be a ding **** like you and worry about what your Jeep
looks like then cry and get all offended when "real" Jeep owners
point out the waste

Oh and last I checked this forum was "rated PG" so try
to grow up and quit the potty mouth

To the question about Jeep doing something wrong
putting the rims in question on a JK
By all means no
They match the bolt pattern and work on the JK just fine
As long as they are not bent and hold air I see no issue
until you try to adapt them to fit where they do not

no worries they edit out the curse words here so don't sweat it for your PG eyes buddy. I love it when "real" jeep owners comes into play. i do believe when you buy a jeep you become a "real" jeep owner. plus i wager you weren't born with all your "jeep" knowledge right out of the womb were ya? yes everybody has to learn some way or another but hell your way doesn't constitute the best way. you're frugal, congrats keep it up. an adapter was made by a respected company to make things work, have you used that adapter in a real world scenario? i would wager you haven't. tell you what thompson i'll do the real world test on them and get back to you, sound good? and gee golly didn't you put spacers on your TJ, the adapter is no different. look it up on spidertrax if you need confirmation. i believe most peeps here didn't keep their original rims on, they shopped around and found something pleasing to their eyes and also to their idea of what they want their jeep to look like. did someone tell you exactly how to build yours thompson or was it all your idea. quit telling me how i should do things. go start another thread on how to be an ******* if you want.
