window regulator

Replaced the rusted out front passenger door on my 2007 liberty with a 2002. The 2002 regulator cable broke loose from the riser. Does anyone know if the regulator from the 2007 will fit in the 2002 door?

As far as I know you can swap the window regulators.

My box with my extra regulators for the front says 02-04, but I don't think there's any change in the design.. I believe you can, if there's a different connector on the motor, just splice the old one back on..
Should be pretty easy though

factory originals had a factory defect in them...i replaced mine as the regulator cable would snap if rear passenger would continue to hold the window up button. Replacements fix this defect. The one i used has a resistor in the motor or wiring that wont allow over torque on the cable.

I removed the regulator from the 2007 door. I think it will work in the 2002 but I'll have to swap the riser. The one on the 2002 looks a little beefier and has two tabs that go through two holes in the glass where the 2007 only has one.

Can you just use the 07 window to make it easier on yourself or is the fitment/tint different?
