I am hoping someone can direct me to a source that’s not a “Pick-A-Part” wrecking yard where I can get a new wiper linkage cover/cowl. The factory part (55155851AJ) is discontinued. Mine is cracked (and I can epoxy that from the inside and salvage the cover) but the real problem is the slide on weatherstrip that seats against the windshield: It’s TOAST!! Too much sun n fun and it is cracking to pieces and falling apart. Thanks to all replies!!!

You might luck out and find some appropriate weather stripping at the local home improvement or auto parts store. Otherwise try plugging your part numbers into the Google machine.

I used to work at a jeep dealership and still have a friend who does. The part has been discontinued for a few years with none showing on locator and I have looked at EBay for dealerships selling old Discon parts and zip. A few aftermarket outfits show it with a modified version of the OEM part number but they all show out of stock/vendor back order……… and the “vendor” has discontinued it. As far as I can tell Doorman doesn’t make one either. I kinda think I’m headed for “pick your part” land but thought I would throw a hook in these waters…….

i was pulling my wiper arms yesterday to paint them and noticed how good of shape mine are in for being so old. i guess it spent most of it's life under roof. I applied some VRP to them and it looks almost brand new. good stuff to use on trim. Probably off to the junk yard with ya!

The seal profiles are available for classic car supplier's, I'm in the UK so you will have to hunt round, here there are several manufacturers / stockists who advertise in classic car magazines, might be easier to look at than Google.

Try eBay. I've been finding lots of NOS there. Lots of discontinued small parts like door seals, rear wiper nut cover, trim pieces.
