Nothin' wrong with an everyday Sport ;) I actually specifically went in for a Sport. Didn't want a Limited or special package vehicle.

Yeah...a bit of wind noise it normal....Jeep's aren't the quietest or smoothest things around. Kinda why I wanted one.

I totally agree!
I bought the KJ I always wanted. A silver '04 Sport.
Non of that ESP, ABS, EVIC, Sunroof or leather.

Agreed.

I wanted a Jeep Green Sport, no sunroof, Selec-Trac, Off Road pkg, tow pkg, cloth. Also wanted the "C" package, which gave tinted glass, aluminum wheels, etc. Figured it'd be a rare KJ to find.

Was kicking around the idea of the KJ but wasn't 100% sold. When I found this exact one, I figured the Big Guy up above was trying to tell me something ;)

I'm indifferent on ABS. Mine has it. My wife was adament that she wouldn't drive the car unless it has ABS. So, no biggie.

Not the mountains.
All the things you've listed are the beauty that is owning a Jeep.:D Welcome to the club. I think I'll love mine more once I gain a bit more knowledge/experience on repairs and upkeep.

@Marlon_JB2 & @sleeve & @Atrus Haha, you should see those discounts ;).

@RageOfFury Thanks for the compliments! I don't think it's anything special though, just has a few extra addons. Do you happen to have the email address for Chrysler to get my build sheet? I would indeed like to see it!

@Hoosierjeeper Thanks! The interior is more like a slate grey, or very close to it.

@wheeee32 Haha, good! Glad to know I didn't miss out on any features ;).

When I went looking for my KJ used, I had to have
-Leather
-Sunroof
-4x4

Other than that....didn't want much else. Didn't care about any safety features other than airbags and seat belts.

You're close! Your interior is called Medium Slate Gray. It's a decent color.... I'm more of a fan of DARK Slate Gray, but at least it's not LIGHT Slate Gray!!!! That color is a flippin NIGHTMARE!

In the subject line put "Jeep build sheet request"

In the body of the email explain to them that you would like the build sheet for your Jeep Liberty. Add the VIN number and your name/address.

I did that and got an answer back the next business day.

Welcome!

I have a 2007. Don't want to scare you off, but my experience has been:
(2) front regulators
(2) sets (meaning 4) of window seals
Right front & Right Rear ABS sensors
Both front wheel hubs wen out.

So I took my '07 to the dealer on Friday so they could work on my front windows. Both were having issues that have been described here and on other forums. They called me about 1/2 way through the day to let me know that they had just received a TSB that addresses the faulty regulators in the "07 Liberty!

The only issue I had was that all the glass had to be replaced as well so the new regulators would attach to the glass. It was an issue to me because I had tinted my front windows which was not covered. Not that big of a deal to me to get my windows working correctly.

I am not sure of the coverage on this TSB but I do know it was just released.

Thanks for the head's up! I had my regulators replaced sometime in summer of 2008, so I am not sure if I have the updated part/glass or not. I'll check it out :D

I had both front done in '08 as well. That just included the regulators.

This TSB was just released last week.

Quick question. Do the regulators need to fail within the bump-to-bumper warranty for the dealer to repair them free of charge? Or now that there is a TSB, it can be repaired at anytime, even past the warranty?

Thanks!

TSB or not... somebody's gonna pay.

Either Chrysler or You. :) TSBs aren't recalls. In short, if you're in warranty, TSBs are covered. If you are out of warranty, TSBs are not covered.

Haven't had any window regulator problem as of yet. What is the number of this TSB, perhaps it affects 06s too?

That's my take on it. Lots of TSBs on almost every auto out there. It helps the mechanics but we still pay. TSBs, recall, warranty all different.

That's what I thought. It's a shame really.

Correct. However, knowing is always 1/2 the battle. Mine was in warranty and they still tried to charge me for some of the work. I laughed and actually got Chrysler to agree to reimburse me for my aftermarket tint.
If you know there is a TSB and you can play your cards right, it's worth a shot to try to get them to pick up some, if not all, of the repair.
