Heat gauge is in center. Same as my wife’s Liberty (hers blows much hotter). I did back flush the core but I’ll do it again. I’ll try changing out the coolant.
I do not have a recirculate option on the dials except for AC. I did drive around with the dash apart and did not see or feel outside...
As a followup to the question about cutting anything in the back - while I have the dash apart for heater issue a snapped a pic of area behind the radio. In the bottom corner you can see I had to cut away some plastic. I think that was it.

I have two Libertys and have had to replace sway bar bushings many times for squeaks and clunky feel in front. Less than $20 for bushings and very easy to do. If these weren’t done I’d try this next.
