Dunno. Just going out there for a wander, really.

I ordered a deep pan for the transmission today. Expensive, but cheaper than a transmission. I paid extra to have them machine a hole for a temperature sensor. Might as well go all out and put display in the cockpit somewhere.

On Sunday my son Sean passed away unexpectedly while I was at work. I haven’t said anything because I was waiting for the autopsy results. The examination found no obvious cause of death. The final toxicology report will be available from the State lab in six to seven months, according to the County Medical Examiner’s Office. We only know there was no evidence of suicide, drugs, or foul play.

My sincere condolences.

Since I had my ball joints replaced I’ve seen four posts on various sites from people that had one fail.

Ground wire for display.

Connectors covered up. Trying to block the light a bit.

I’ve been distracted, and forgot to take note of the Third Jeepiversary on the 21st.

When I pulled the grille this morning I discovered that the port side bolts for the transmission cooler AND the a/c condenser coils were missing. Good to have those stuck back down again.

I finally got around to playing with the Scangauge II I bought a few weeks back. I have to send it in for a firmware update. I wonder how long this thing has been on the shelf, it’s running 4.13! I’ll probably wait until after my road trip, though.

Love my Scangauge II. It has helped me keep fuel costs down by making me a more efficient driver. It has also diagnosed and cleared engine codes and displayed voltage, coolant temp, and transmission temp (that last one takes some programming). The temperature gauges have been great for wheeling and towing.

When I tried to add the xgauge it showed up but didn’t work. Then I checked the software version. Oof.
