I was traveling at the foot of the Japanese Alps for two days to see the autumn leaves.
I encountered a group of Ferraris undergoing exorcism at a shrine.
There are also monkeys.

Did you get to eat your bread this time?
wait their are liberty's/cherokee's in japan.
... solid.
It wasn't taken this time.
The monkeys were eating persimmons or something.

Yes, it's sold under the name Cherokee and is Renegade trim, so it's a little confusing when searching for parts.

This should be a great thread that we can keep going. That way we can all keep up with the small day to day tinkering and give some ideas to those looking to do something! Pics are strongly encouraged!!! (Cheers)
I ordered struts from ebay lastweek to hold my back window up but usps can't deliver them for some reason so 2day I ordered another set. I'm ready to install them so annoyed with the saggy glass.

Those "bumps" are crush/spacers that can come off. I installed an ARB front bumper and you actually remove those and behind them is an open channel. Part of the new bumper mount fits inside of the channel that's behind those and bolts to the channel.
Thanks!

lastnight after watching a few utube videos on the topic, I quickly and easily changed both struts. If u have a saggy glass cargo door, u can easily change the struts yourself for cheep!

I put some miles on the old girl this weekend. She’s full of all my stuff, right now. Tools for work, hard hat, bird hunting vest, shotgun, garbage, you name it. This weekend is MN’s deer hunt opener, so I have to clean all my crap out of it just to fill it with new stuff.

The team that engineered the KJ didn’t seem to know a thing about cargo space. I miss my XJs for their interior space.

Are the 3 bolt holes under the Dodge mirror escutcheon plate even close to being in the same location as the KJ mirror mounting bolts??

Would love to see pics as you fiddle with it …

I changed both my headlights. I used the extra daylight savings hour to watch youtube videos on the topic 1st lol. The more they told me not to touch the halogen lamp the more I needed to touch it jeez. I loosened the engine fuzebox and the airfilter box and changed the bulbs that way. Got sum scrapes blood n bruses but mission accomplished ;)

nah, it's gonna be a total re-holing. plus mirrors are stupid heavy, so they come with a reinforcement plate that has to go on the inside. there's flanging inside the door that prevents you from getting those plates into place currently.
the triangle shape is somewhat close, but i'd probably want to take the broken mirrors and use them to help create some kind of filler plate.

Do you tow that much you need to bother? I have extension mirrors that just clip on when I pull a big trailer or caravan.

part of the problem is I haven't been able to find "decent" clip on tow mirrors.
now that I have the broke set off, I might try and make better adapters to put the little tow mirrors I temporarily installed on the OEM ones in a fashion not so janky.
I'd also considered trying to do a wireless/solar remote camera mounting system that goes on the trailer being towed to act as the side mirrors

you're right though, I don't tow an 8.5' wide enclosed trailer that much; this is technically the first time. I tow an open deck far more.
of course it's a chicken and egg type of problem; I don't tow a wide enclosed because I can't see around one properly. But I haven't really sorted out that problem because I don't tow something that wide very often, yet.

I use an old set of Ring towing mirrors. Round our narrow roads permanently fixed big mirrors would get smashed.

pics of said mirrors?
and yea, your "roads" in the UK are designed for 70s Minis... not "real" sized cars. :D
I loved watching Richard Hammond driving around in a TRX with me going "that thing is wider than the road."
