Great post you found, checked on other forums like the JK Wrangler and they have problems with the seat heater too.
The great thing is my back feels like it's on fire after 5 minutes with it on.
What the owners say on the newer jeep vehicles, is they don't heat up like they used too.
Now if I...
Mine has a loud humming noise when I'm cruising at 30MPH or more with the gas pedal depressed, as soon as I let off on the gas, the noise disappears.
You could put it on stands and then put it in gear and have the drive train rotate at different speeds.
Super dangerous, but using a mechanics...
Take a few pictures and post how it went, I have a growl underneath and it sounds like the rear end is shot. Might be the axle bearings.
When I changed the rear end oil, the spider and side gears looked like a Rottweiler was chewing on them. Might be the transfer case too.
Starting to use the heated seat and I don't feel any heat on the bottom seat cushion.
Lots of heat on the back cushion and the hi and low setting work good.
Anyone know where to get a new element or is there a fuse for each bottom and back cushion.
Maybe a burnt out pin in the connector under...
Did a bit of surfing wondering why it's so hard to start new cars.
First one that I came across is maybe your immobilizer key is preventing your jeep from starting.
Then there is a crank case sensor and a camshaft sensor that may be preventing it from starting.
I'm no expert on newer cars, just...
First Piggly Wiggly grocery store I went to was in Myrtle beach a few years ago.
I have to admit that it was the oldest grocery store that I ever been in.
I've been going to grocery stores since the sixties.
I have new 2003 auto tranny with a "select trac" and was practicing what each mode did in a high school parking lot a few months ago.
Never owned a 4X4 before and had to go and practice before really needing it this winter.
I also checked the level in the transfer case and found it low, drained...
I noticed this on the drivers side too on my new to me jeep, no suggestions for you, but wondering what is causing this and what the previous guy did.
They don't look like OEM shocks and the front end sits at 19.5" from the center cap.
Just picked up a 2003 Renagade for dirt cheap.
Craigslist has these years going at $500 to $2999 right now.
If you get an older one like this, get ready to spend some time and money on it.
I've opened up my 8.25 rear end a month ago to change the oil and my spider gears are all chewed up.
Gear oil and magnet was a mess.
I've also have the loud gear train noise that you have.
I've also have the extra option of a limited slip rear end. AKA posi traction.
Not sure if the spider...
Welcome,
picked up mine a month ago.
I'm under it more than working on the body, changed all the fluids and touching up the undercarriage where rust is starting to show.
I'm in the same boat as you, it doesn't get used much other than holidays.
Flushed out the heater core, and bled the coolent system.
From stone cold no heat everywhere, to 131 Fahrenheit coming out of the front vents and floor is an improvement.
Still stone cold coming out of the defrost register.
