Oil fill cap tight!
I just get it in a 5 ounce tube, posted this picture so you can read what uses it's for on the can, great stuff and I'm almost out of it. Use it on most of my rubber components- Big Al

New to this forum too and this fill cap was stupidly tight, took it off and cleaned all the varnish off with paint thinners. Wow what a thick coating of varnish, wondering what the engine internals look like. Then I had some Dow Corning O-Ring lube, put a spear on the cap threads and O-Ring and...- Big Al

No heat
I'm going to try and back flush my heater core as see if it heats the cab better. Heats come out hot for a few minutes and then changes to cool. If I leave it on setting one, I get more heat than if it's on setting 4- Big Al

New KJ owner in RI (yes that's in the USA)
Welcome, Used my selec trac continuously in all 4 positions since Thursday. Did 100 miles on the nastiest roads that I have ever been on. Boy does it ever save the brakes from heating up going down 12-14% grades for 4 miles on switch backs.- Big Al

how does the 2003 heated seat switch work?
Welcome I used my 2003 heated seat by accident today. You press on the low to turn it on, then press again on the low to turn it off. Hope that helps you.- Big Al

Time to replace the catalytic converter
So, need to get it scanned to find out which one is at fault I guess. How much if I DIY. How much if I take it in to it. Should I do everything from the manifolds to the tail pipe, (tail pipe and muffler has holes in them) or just do the single failing cat. My build was 09/02, 3 cats I guess.- Big Al

Time to replace the catalytic converter
My 2003 3.7 L has had the P0420 since I purchased it a month ago. Mechanic says I need a new converter. So is there 3 Cats on this Jeep. Buy OEM or has anyone had good luck with aftermarket ones.- Big Al

From Chevy S10 to Jeep KJ. Tinkering is what I do.
Welcome, I also just joined a week ago and have an 03 Renagade. Replaced the rear diff and transfer case fluid so far. Working on wire brushing, sanding and painting over all the rust on the underside, getting it ready for winter.- Big Al

Upstream vs downstream O2 sensors
Anyone know if we can test these before replacing them all. Sounds like I have fire the parts cannon to get rid of my "mil" light that is on. Sounds like I have to fire the parts cannon at the Liberty to get rid of these codes. P0420 P0442 P0445- Big Al

Changed out my rear diff oil and there a lot of metal spare parts in the oil and on the magnet. Clean it out out and found that the bevel gear (side gears) look like a Rottweiler has been chewing on them. Actually, only one side gear is chewed up. Axle bevel gears look in good shape. Well, finally had a chance to measure this and the fronts were bang on 19" and the rears were closer to 20". Question, leave it like this or start changing the suspension parts. All I've done so far on the suspension is paint it all gloss black. Undercarriage is starting to look nicer than...- Big Al
