It's not approved by jba, but you can mount the ball joint to the bottom of the uca which moves it away from the coil, but then you must also drop the cradle to correct suspension geo. It's a can of worms I considered briefly before deciding I put myself in too many off camber situations to make...- duderz7

Likely uca contacting the spring. I set mine up with a piece of paper as a feeler gauge between coil and uca adjusting at clevis. It's a lot quieter now.- duderz7

I have the stock trak-loc in the rear, which I recently rebuilt and the Spartan helical diff up front. As klc said above it's the 4-cylinder kj's that have the 4.10. it took me a lot of digging to find mine. Here's a link to my build for your review. Thread 'Diff and axle hunting'...- duderz7

The lowest gearset available for the front (dana 30a) is 4.10. It can be hard to find as it's unique to the jeep Liberty kj. Lockers as well as limited slips are easier to find. I'm running the Spartan helical and have been quite happy with it.- duderz7

ARB bumper question (2003 transferred to 2007)
Fenders and grill are different between those years, but me thinks the mounting to the unibody is same. I have the PDF of the install downloaded somewhere, but can't currently find it. Google Fu could probably locate it.- duderz7

Loose hose 2006 3.7 engine
Breather hose for front diff. It was originally on one of the 4 upper shock mounts. Mine is currently ziptied to something near the battery (I don't remember what) as high as possible.- duderz7

did some wheeling yesterday with my friend and some kiddos, his oldest daughter's nitro got hot and was left behind while we continued the rest of the way up. Probably for the best as I don't think it would have made it due to it's stock form. I was glad to have the clearance and the limited...- duderz7

Transfer slowly binding
Could be your front driveshaft binding, removing it might help diagnose your problem and yes it's fine to run without, all of the 2x ones do.- duderz7

Can I Fit ANY 4.10 Gears by Just Adding ANY Steel Dana 30 Carrier into the Dana 30a “Super”?
The difference is in the pinion gear and diffrential housing. I believe the 30a gear is shorter, bearings closer to each other.- duderz7

The pinion gear is the difference. You cannot put a 30 pinion into a 30a. Search on car‐part.com. I found mine by looking for a transmission for the 4cyl knowing if I found a transmission they must have the vehicle it came out of. NEED 4.56 RING AND PINION FOR MY KJ
Your best bet is wrecking yards. If you find a ring and pinion new you're looking at around $800 for the set, at least when I was looking a few years ago. Also 4.10 is the lowest available for the dana 30a.- duderz7

This I did not know, is it the dodge trucks that have the different bolt pattern? I have a set of axles just sitting in the garage out of a 2004 if someone needs them. Probably not worth shipping. I'm in western idaho.- duderz7

What did you do to your jeep today?
Was getting some clunking on Saturday so I did some inspection and found my transmission mount to be sagging. Replaced it in October 2022 with a crown automotive brand. Even filled voids with 3m window weld and it all squished out. And it was still bonking against the transfer case. Luckily...- duderz7

Ring and pinion gears are matched sets. If you have access to good pinion out of the proper axle grab the Ring gear too.- duderz7
