Rear defrost power?
I will have a better look into your problem but On the rear side of the interior Fuse Panel there are some Circuit Breakers as shown in 95.jpg above. I am sure one is for the rear widow heater element...although this is not shown... one I believe is for power seats and the third I think is...- Billwill

High Beam Relay Apparently Missing but, High Beams are Working?
It may work if you fit the smaller relay in its slot and remove the large relay with the heatsink. There are some small relays in the relay box under the hood which might fit...if they are the correct size borrow one and try it out. But I doubt that it will work...there is probably different...- Billwill

Yeah mrhemi is correct...Canadian KJs have that larger relay for Daylight Running....I was not aware that yours is a Canadian model! Where is Longmont CO?;)- Billwill

Yeah you definitely need ATF+4 fluid in the 2005 KJ! The 2002 KJs came from the Factory with Mopar Steering Fluid fitted...a slightly Honey Colored fluid. They then brought out a TSB that these 2002 models need to have the fluid completely drained and then filled with red ATF+4 by the Dealers...- Billwill

I replaced the Clock spring on my 2002 Export CRD a few years ago.....not too expensive then! This came with all possible copper tracks fitted...my original assembly only had 4 tracks as this Jeep did not have Cruise Control, Audio controls etc....only the Horn and Airbags! New assemblies come...- Billwill

I have no idea! I also have a 2002 Export 2.5L CRD....mid 2002! Not sure what the original height was from Factory. At some stage in 2002 on this model the Factory had to lower the suspension....best to check your ride height which has probably dropped in any case over time!;)- Billwill

You are correct in that the High Beam Relay is definitely missing! Some previous owner probably did some re-wiring of the circuitry for some unknown reason. As long as it keeps on working then all is good...problem is if it fails sometime then it becomes difficult to unravel the...- Billwill

You can download the 2003 Jeep KJ Service Manuals here...section 8W has the Wiring diagrams. You will need a cheap Digital Multimeter to check the voltages. What you refer to as the "switch behind the steering wheel" is the Multifunction Switch that has all the controls for the lights, wipers...- Billwill

2002 3.7l will not crank/start when hot.
Actually the 05,06 and 07 KJs do not have the Temperature Sensor located under the battery...or anywhere else! This despite the fact that some manuals do describe this Sensor and some Wiring Diagrams still show it! My 2002 Export 2.5 CRD showed a "Charge" light on the dash when still quite...- Billwill

That red fuel light with water around it is probably the clear plastic container underside the fuel filter. Do you have the Owner's Manual hiding horizontally inside the Glove Box? This clear container pulls out any water in your diesel....either this container is full and needs to be...- Billwill

You can pull out the Viscous Heater Relay inside the Fuse Box under the hood. It will post an error but will stop the viscous heater running...there is one pin on this relay that you can fold back so that it does not make contact which stops the viscous heater and stops any errors...I will...- Billwill

Yeah definitely make sure you only use HOAT ant-freeze...not Universal Green stuff that turns into porridge. I like it! Agree that it needs the high roof to be extended forward. However I believe my 2002 2.5 L CRD will be my last vehicle.....we will stay together to the end and I doubt that such a vehicle would make its way to South Africa! ;)- Billwill

Rough idle when slowing to a stop…
I remove and clean my MAP sensor every few months with Brake Cleaner Spray....the MAP Sensor gets very dirty and you get all sorts of issues. A new Fuel Filter is a good idea! No throttle return
There is a metal cable going from the pedal into the engine bay where you will see it operates the actual electrical card. Check that this cable is moving smoothly inside its outer cover....you may need to lubricate this cable with some Q10 or else the assembly is binding somewhere. Have...- Billwill
