Need help with parasitic draw on my 2005 CRD

Serious question — I am wondering how you guys check for parasitic draw on the dash end fuse panel without opening the door and setting the interior light on, this creating an instant parasitic draw ?? o_O I am sure that there is a really simple solution that I am totally missing, so please...

    Aluminum Coolant Overflow Tank

FYI — I did my own version of this … but using a pressure washer as well, AFTER removing the tank from the KJ. That said, Ill bet you could avoid at least some of the silly mad dancing part by using an ultrasonic toothbrush…just dont be like me and put it back on the counter for the wife to...

I was able to clean mine out really well on the CRD when I had everything drained for the 200k timing belt change.

    Aluminum Coolant Overflow Tank

Well if you look at both the neutral and the negative reviews it seems like variable weld quality and fitment are an issue on bout 1 in 10 of those who leave a review.

    Aluminum Coolant Overflow Tank

IMO, the only problem with aluminum would be the quality of the welds, and since this is apparently "Hecho in China", they are also automatically suspect until someone does a physical inspection on one. And even then, the welds may or may not be the same quality between different tanks. Thats...

5 year vs 10 year Mopar coolant??

You'll have to dig deeper as to the chemical composition of the two coolants rather then simply their "lifespans". That said, you CANNOT mix HOAT (hybrid organic acid) with either IAT (inorganic acid) or OAT (organic acid) without doing a complete and thorough drain and flush of the coolant...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Nope that transfer case support bracket is meant to support the NV271 when attached to a 48RE auto transmission and Ive got it adapted to fit the NV271 that is hanging from the G56 in my Dodge Ram. Involved drilling a single extra 3/4" hole in the correct location on my skid plate. ;)

What did you do to your Jeep today? -Wrangler Edition-

SO much to dissect here, but the most important part is in the first paragraph — and then the last — Maybe frustrating, but those reactions are EXACTLY what kept you from deeper, and even possibly fatal injuries!!! GREAT JOB!!! The rest of the story just makes for an excellent action movie...

    Aluminum Coolant Overflow Tank

Where are they made? Are they a direct fit replacement ? Could be really nice but IMO it all depends on the quality of the welds and fitment.

Final big truck update …as of noon today …. Maya rides again !!!! First impressions — The heavy duty Valair dual disc organic "street" and "quiet" clutch set up with strapped floater plate is definitely MUCH easier and MUCH quieter and MUCH smoother on engagement then the medium duty...

AC compressor broke clutch bolt trying to turn it

It does sound like the AC may have failed internally … if so it will have sent metal particles down the line and you will need to clean and flush the entire system, including the condensor, and also replace parts like the orfice line and the dryer/accumulator amd, of course, the compressor.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Today, after finish planing 4000' of 1 x 4 rough and quarter sawn redwood in the woodshop, I walked over to the mechanics shop to keep putting the big truck back together. My "end of day" goal was simply to mount the 48RE/NV271 adapter support bracket onto the transfer case and then reinstall...
