    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

Another fun day playing with the Jeep. Tires went on perfectly however there was just a little bit of rubbing up front, so I cut and folded the front inner fender pinch weld. 33" tires fit perfectly up front with no rubbing even under full suspension articulation (read: upto full coil bind)...

eBay coils spacer install video Rear coil install was relatively simple and straight forward. There are also hundreds of YouTube how to videos on installing rear coil spacers and they are all a great resource. There are also a couple great videos on YouTube on how to install and swap out OEM...

Anyone run tractor tires on their KJ?

duderz7, I have NP231 so no open center diff. I am not familiar with the 231 yet but will once I rip it apart in the near future. I am more concerned about finding actual tolerances for the parts than hypothetical reasoning. Completely agree with your point "why try to do something you know...

Anyone run tractor tires on their KJ?

duderz7, Yes you are absolutely correct, however if that was 100% true all of our 4x4s would be broken on the side of the road right now. I am willing to bet that at least one of anyone's tires is not "exactly" at the same pressure or wear as the others. This brings me to the next question...

Will a jk steel bumper fit on a KJ?

Is this the JK bumper you are referring to? Might not be nearly as expensive as an ARB but it looks pretty darn good on the Liberty. I'll be mounting it in the next couple weeks, more pictures then.

Anyone run tractor tires on their KJ?

So the tires are in, mounted and bolted onto the Liberty. Any thoughts on running different diameter tires front and back? Say 1/2" difference?

    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

sleazy rider, Yeah, there is very little room there. It's a challenge to squeeze the struts and spacer combo or longer coils in there. How much longer are the new longer coils than the old saggy ones were? Did you replace the sway bar links? Also, when you put the new springs in, did you get a...

    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

tommudd, Thank you Tom, now we are getting somewhere. D30 comes in short and long pinion shaft. Do you know exactly how long is the short pinion shaft and exactly how long is the long pinion shaft? Both overall length as well as from teeth to tail length? How long is the D30A pinion shaft...

eBay coil and strut spacers: part 2 BEFORE spacers AFTER spacers OK, unlike the 10 minute rears, there is no quick or easy way to do the front spacers. I slaved away for about 3 hours on and off as my kids were helping (distracting) me. After three hours front drivers side strut spacer...

    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

tommudd, Lets try this one again. I am not asking for permission to do something, I am telling everyone that I am doing something. I am not asking you if there is a difference between a D30 and D30A, there is a difference, I am very well aware of it. I am saying that I will figure it out and...

    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

Rescued and fit two Yamaha Raptor 700Rs in the bed of my Liberty this morning. Typical morning, made kids breakfast, sent them out to play on their quads. As I'm preparing for the day my 4 year old knocks on the door and says that his quad is stuck on the snowmobile trail in our yard...

    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

sleazy rider, I soaked the entire front end with PB blaster last night, can't wait to dig into it today. I don't like struts and don't have the tools to work with them, it should be interesting. Stay tuned for more shenanigans!

    Project 2004 Liberty pickup

jeeptorino68, If you are concerned about your vehicle looks on pavement or the actual cosmetic height difference between different lift kits as a comparison then yes center hub to fender (H2F) is valuable and the only way to compare lift kits. However once the lift kit is actually installed on...
