Mine has a black protective screw on plastic cap on passenger side of fuel rail, used a flashlight to better see inside.
I wonder if you tried screwing in a fuel pressure tester may help seal it again?
Take the fuel pressure readings while there. Not running for 10 minutes, Vehicle running etc...

I would recommend that you find a transmission shop that can read the stored or pending codes. A Snap On Modis Ultra scanner is best.

Even though this was many years ago, there was a known issue at dealer where a combo /quick firmware flash was performed to solve issues in locks.
The outcome was, when Jeep placed in reverse, you would hear the rear gate lock activate.
Dont use any flushing type products. Flush with distilled water or DE-mineralized.
Mopar Hoat Coolant only or Zerex GO5 can be purchased as pre-mixed at 50 percent which is less expensive.
Green coolant = eek. Drop the lower rad hose to drain it. Flush out the reservoir too.

Record on paper any stored codes present.
Known issue with electrical, 2 wire pigtail speedometer sensor above rear differential may be chaffed.

Since we are talking spark plugs, here are the correct listing of kJ and KK plugs with gap listed.
More than likely TCM ? May recommend finding a shop with a "snap on scanner" (Modis Ultra) and see if any other codes appear.
