    More aggressive tires

I've heard decent things about the Yokohama Geolander AT/S: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=Geolandar+A%2FT+G015&partnum=36HR8G015XL&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes It looks like if you go up 1 size (which, based on spring sag, might be possible on...

Inner brake pad worn down to metal

Sounds like a caliper or slide pin problem still...just keep an eye on it after you greased and put everything back together.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Went wheeling with Myke last week. He's a great wheeling buddy! Can't wait to go again.

New Tires on my 07 KJ Limited

This. Love my Hankooks. They have a bit of a hum to them though. Just gotta rotate them a lot. My first set got 70k miles. Had to get another at that rate.

    Isolayor measurments

The spring us most definitely not on the edge of the isolator. The important measurement is the inner hole. The coil mainly wraps around that and uses a bit of rubber outside and that's it. Climb under to get a real idea. Not sure Poly will be worth it for the rears. They hardly go bad. But to...

The part time light is definitely the transfer case position switch.

    Rear Brake Hose

Sorry to revive this...but for those who found my thread, I used a couple of straight furniture braces/brackets and some small bolts. Works great to drop it 2-4"!

5k road trip ahead... will she blow

Going to say every fill up check the oil. Mine ended up being low after about 500 miles or so due to a leaking valve cover gasket.

    Isolayor measurments

For the rear uppers, the diameter of the inner hole is pretty much 3" flat. Diameter of the whole thing is about 7". I don't have extra bottoms since most people who lift use extra tops. I'm pretty certain the fronts are of a certain design. Probably not universal since they need to fit the...

5k road trip ahead... will she blow

Think the only thing I did for my 3000 mile road trip (I did it twice) was make sure my tail lights were working, changed the oil, and sealed up the radiator.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Most autos will do that I've noticed. Even my stick shift will (what seems to be) completely close the throttle body so it just straight coasts. It almost feels like it downshifts but it doesn't (obviously).

What did you do to your jeep today?

Watch the powder coat on the spring near the lower perch. Very surprised you have no problems. Maybe because you're not as tall as I am. Glad you like the ride though! PS - are those LCAs from before the recall? Surprised they wouldn't recall Canadian KJs.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Actually the lengths come out OK if you use the models on JBA's site and use proper bumpstops.

    Newbie question

Yes often times you'll find signs that a car was in an accident that carfax didn't report. For example, my KJ has never had rivets in the front fender wells. Just empty holes. Meaning they were off at some point prior to my purchasing it. Took me a couple of years to actually notice. But if...

    Replacing side mirrors

Edit: unless it's just the glass that broke. I needed the mounting piece too.

    Replacing side mirrors

Don't get Rock Auto Glass. It's completely incorrect for mounting. You have to go OEM. I got a full mirror from a junkyard and pulled the glass from it.
