KrisP mine is like this too but I think all the bushings are worn up front. Does your rear end kick out when the rear goes over a hump? Mine started this years ago but is worse now.

it is a PVC vent which sucks crankcase vapors back through the intake. you can put a sponge or something in it to keep dirt out I guess but it would be ok for a couple days just laying there. I went wheeling once and mine popped off and I didn't' notice for a couple weeks. didn't have any issues.
If it were me I'd have them change it while getting it aligned since you need to take the tie rod apart and get it aligned anyway.

right with you. For me about 3.5 would be good as I think 4 is a bit too high and I don't want to stress the front cvs too much.
Now, on that note, are the 4" springs (red ones) for the rear OK to use or are they too much for under 4"?

I've run the 927 OME for almost 100K. I've gotten used to the jarring ride of these. Absorbing the bumps sounds nice.

There's a choice of HD springs or normal if don't have the CRD.

did you sit it back down yet or are you trying with it still up in air? I put a jack under the lower control arm and jack it up until I can connect it again. Then torque them down after you have it back on the ground.

The Steiger kit won't fix one that has a broken plastic tube and the worm coming out. That's how both of my fronts failed. The plate was actually still in pretty good shape on both. The one from rock auto is working good in my drivers door. It came with a nice motor making it faster.
