    05 Lift questions

So when I put washers on, there wasn’t enough threads for the nut to grab with a 2.5” bolt it seemed like, and running without washers the bolt head went halfway into the hockey puck, but definitely got to the locking part of the nut that way.

    05 Lift questions

Should 3/8 by 2.5” bolts work for the bump stops? Edit: So linger bolts might have helped, but it all worked out. Once the other side is done tomorrow I’ll take some pictures, but it’s definitely sitting higher

    05 Lift questions

I was working one side at a time, and on this side the sway bar is removed, I was able to get it separated using my jeeps jack like I found someone using to do a “wesway” lift, and that really helped. The 3/8ths bit I have isn’t able to go through the bottom spring perch, so I’m going to buy a...

    05 Lift questions

So my install is on hold for now. Waiting for a buddy to help me from here. I can’t seem to get the axle to drop far enough to where I can also pull out the old coil by myself. Once I get a second pair of hands this should go much faster. I’ve got another friend coming by tomorrow to help me...

Getting ready to hit the dirt here in Arizona

I have, back when I had my very rusty Ford Explorer that I probably shouldn’t have taken out there. I lost my muffler and tail pipe while I was out there. I hit a large rut, heard a crash, and everything got louder, and I looked behind me and saw my exhaust 30 feet behind me. My new suspension...

That’s a good question. I’d love to hear some opinions on that if anyone has any.

I just checked the price with shipping to Phoenix from JBA, and it would have been $390 for me, so it covered my front bumpstops.

    Stuck ignition coil?

I’m at 230000 now, and I’m glad I replaced the spark plugs and coils today, I should have done it a while ago. If that one connector gives me more issues, how hard is it to wire in a new connector?

What did you do to your jeep today?

Got my spark plugs and ignition coils replaced today. Oh boy were they bad.

    Stuck ignition coil?

So all the connectors felt like they were seated snugly, but the last on on the passenger side under the reservoir when I got light on it was clearly not all the way seated. It was a royal pain trying to get it seated. I never heard it click into place, but it looks closer to the others now, and...

Yeah, I purely went with Amazon due to the free 2 day shipping instead of having to wait a while longer

    Stuck ignition coil?

I got the coil unstuck, part of the coil had fused to the spark plug, so getting a socket on that was also difficult. Now when I fired up my truck, I get a noticeable vibration, flashing check engine light, and codes p0300 and p2317 showing. Any idea where I might have screwed up?

    Stuck ignition coil?

It’s free from the hold down, so I’ll keep wiggling it to try and break it free. This is my 4th out of 6, the others were pretty easy. I bought these a while ago to do, a couple months after buying the truck, and just didn’t worry about it until the transmission was replaced.

    Stuck ignition coil?

I’m replacing my spark plugs and coils today, but one of the coils is stuck, I can’t get it to break free at all. Any suggestions?

    05 Lift questions

All of my parts from Amazon have shipped, and my JBA orders have been placed. My mechanic here in town can assemble the front for me, $30/per. Definitely a better deal than the spring compressor and risking death. I will take pictures of the progress once all the parts arrive.

Getting ready to hit the dirt here in Arizona

I’m currently working on fixing up my 05 Liberty with a proper lift and other odds and ends, and then I would love to get out and explore! One of my more common trips is out to Sheep’s Bridge, there’s so many different things to see down Bloody Basin road, be it ruins or petroglyphs. I also...

    05 Lift questions

I have purchased most of what I need. Waiting on ordering the lower ball joints and outer tie rods until I decide on the UCAs, cause I can buy them as a kit if I choose to stick with stock for now. Specifically, I just purchased: Bilstein 24-185660 (Amazon listing for these said for a Wrangler...
