I have the exact set-up (I am not sure if my KJ is "pre-lowered" though) with the 265's x 75's... I also raised the front via a clevis lift which helped alot. The tires are now about 50% and do not rub at all (even at full turn and reverse) But, she rarely sees full flex on a trail either.
Thought this was a cool pic.. Blue sky in fl, closing in on sunset and then some wierd thick cloud out of no where... Then when I put the picture into the computer I realized I had a Jeep in the shot... Makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
That is a good point.. Didnt really think about that. Trust me, I lived 3 years in Colorado, I do know what hills/mountains are. Either way...not affected in Florida then..
I have not re-geared and mine runs great on the highway, does not shif at all. Take a look at my album, all pics are with the tire size you asking about.
That was my point originally... If you look at previous posts, many have this same problem. I have none anywhere except in that top corner at the seal..
I don't disagree... I take care of my Jeep very well and she runs great, but washing it everyweek is not a priority nor do I have the time. Wax behind the lights? Too much effort of a 9 year old vehicle...IMO
This is very common no matter where you live. I put clear silicone caulking around my brake light and that put a stop to it for now. I still have to complete the repair though.
I used the heat gun I mine... I had deep scratches on both sides, heated them up and smoothed them out. You can then sand a little, get a plastic primer and complete a few coats to even up texture.. Then just paint the entire bumper...
I thank you for your input. I guess i will look into that repair kit, I first want to see if I can "see" the problem. It is difficult to look in there. I went on line to that website you speak of...$80 seems reasonable, hopefully that will fix it.
Real nice pics... (You got nice gear---where is the fish?) had friends and family in Tom's River and Red Bank... Been to all those areas many times, though not with the KJ. Been a while.
I have searched many of past threads regarding the regulator. My problem seems to be the same. The Passenger window does not fall, it is just not attached to the (regulator???) It goes up just fine, but on the way down it slowly goes down (due to gravity) Sounds like the regulator clip has...
Take a look at the pics. I bought a small CB and installed on the side of the center console. Bracket is a door jamb CB bracket from firestik... Antenna is a whip from the truck stop.
