    Regearing from 3.73's to 4.10's

Well correct me if I'm wrong but you can run opposing gear ratios front a rear, but not in 4wd. Probably be a good idea to remove the front drive shaft to ensure it didn't get engaged but for a short period of time moving between installs or something I think its ok as long as its never put in...

    Regearing from 3.73's to 4.10's

Ok I gotcha, what if I found a set of factory 4.10 front and rears from a 4 cylinder model? Other than the sometimes difference in drive shaft yokes is there anything else to keep in mind that would prohibit them from bolting right in?

    Regearing from 3.73's to 4.10's

Forgive my ignorance tom, what do you mean by put back to stock and trying to get it a little closer? What is a pinion reset? Did you have to flash your computer? What technique did you use? Dealer or personal programmer?

    5 Moabs from 2004

Makes me appreciate the deal I got! Not that they're not worth that price, just saying!

    2004 Liberty grille guard suggestions

ARB's are great but no reason to the front of the liberty being weak. I plowed this Nissan Altima doing 45mph and as you can see it was significantly more damaged than my KJ.

Skidt Plates, Leather Seats & More

I would love to buy it all but its an 11 hour drive and shipping those seats would be horrible haha my wife would enjoy them that heated leather in her KJ though! Would you be willing to ship the mopar trans and tcase skids? 72404 is my zip, I foolishly sold the full skids of my old KJ Renegade...

    Regearing from 3.73's to 4.10's

I've been giving serious thought to regearing my 05 Limited 4x4 with the 3.7 to 4.10's so that I can run bigger tires more comfortably. I've done as much searching as I can but to be honest it all seems very confusing to me. I can't keep up with the conversations within the threads nor weed out...

05 WK vs 05 KJ Motor, Trans, and Gearing

I have a cousin with a 05 WK with the 3.7 and 4 speed auto trans. We're trying to determine what trans he has and what ratio gears he has because he's running 255/75/17 tires I jw how comparable his powertrain is to my KJ's

Decisions, decisions on brand and size

Looks really good! Do you have any front or rear straight on pics I'm trying to get an idea of how wide the tires look compared to the 245/75/16's I had on my renegade. I'm not overly concerned with the MPG my old renegade only got like 13 average. My wife's KJ is still stock running 235's so if...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Bought 5 MOAB's with 4 crummy all terrains and 1 Goodyear MTR with 60% tread which will be perfect for a spare!

Decisions, decisions on brand and size

I gotcha well I'm going to look into 265 70's, I didn't realize the extra width would clear very well. I found a set of MOAB's locally on craigslist decided to get them and will be powder coating them black instead of the factory 17's I have now.

Decisions, decisions on brand and size

Any interest in Cooper ST Maxx? I had a set on my Renegade they were great tires while I had it. My dad has some on a Z71 Tahoe and my brother had them on Z71 Sierra. Long lasting, aggressive, minimal road noise. Don't mean to hijack but has anyone every ran 255/75R16's on 3.73's? They're...

    New KJ to the family!

Thanks glad to be back! Thanks Dave! Thanks Bert, I do like white very much! As for my business, my father-in-law has been in the glass service industry for 30 years and the local company he has worked for all that time is dissolving due to the owner being 74 years old and refusing to...

    New KJ to the family!

Well I joined this forum in October of 08 when I purchased my first liberty. Over 4 years I did a lot of tinkering and ended up with a OME/Bilstein 1.5" lift on top of Boiler's 3/8" strut top plates with a clevis and 2 extra rear coil isolators. In August of 2011 my girlfriend at the time who...

School me on a CRD Pro's and Con's

Thanks HJ! I just read some similar threads that resembled what you mentioned, so not sure a CRD is for me The dealer was just a mom and pop shop that probably bought it at an auction or something he didn't know any specifics about it. I could smell exhaust pretty well while it was running...

School me on a CRD Pro's and Con's

Looking to get another KJ, while in the search found a CRD that's exactly what I'm looking for but I know very little about them. My plan is to lift it like the previous Renegade I had. OME coils, Biltstein shocks and struts, strut spacers, clevis adjustment, additional coil pads in the back to...

    Rust Issues?

Hey guys its been a long time since I've been on here since I lost my KJ back in February of 2012 to a senior citizen ignoring a red light! Anyway before mine was totaled my girlfriend had also bought a KJ 07, Latitude edition 4X4. We're still dating and I noticed when she bought the rig about 3...
