    Front tow hook question

Yeah they almost come out of the factory tow hook holes depending on what drop you use for the hitches. Very solid. In fact I might even be selling mine once I get my detour.

    Outside Mirror circular cap

My guess would be to just go to a local junk yard and see if you can find one there. That would be the cheapest way.

    Front end vibration

That is where I am feeling most of the vibration. I am now planning on replacing both cv's and the intermediate shaft. I am going to start with the drivers side first and hope and pray that that fixes it since it is the cheaper end. If not I will replace the passenger side and intermediate shaft...

I have the same problem with the rear glass as well, but have learned to live with that one.

    Front end vibration

So not that there is a price difference of all that much, but what would be the difference from a Napa reman vs. a Oreilly reman cv?

    Front end vibration

So I just rebuilt the transfer case side of the front drive shaft. I thought that this was going to solve my vibration problem. And although it did help with the vibration it didn't seem to get rid of it. Although it does seem that I am at least headed in the correct direction as I replaced the...

Issue with rear passenger side door

So I took my dogs out for a ride this weekend and when my wife tried to open the rear passenger side door to get them out it wouldn't open. I used the inside unlock button and I used the key fob as well. Nothing would get the lock to go up. I even tried pulling it up by hand and it wouldn't...

What did you do to your jeep today?

So it has been a few days since I did this but I got a couple of big projects out of the way that I had been wanting to do for awhile now. I got the transfer case side of the drive shaft rebuilt. I put my Genright Off Road louvers on so as to get rid of some of the heat from the engine bay while...

What did you do to your jeep today?

I don't think that it is a significant amount more. And I think due to the thickness of it it is deceiving on the fact that it is slightly deeper than the stock one.

What did you do to your jeep today?

It looks better in person! I think it actually takes slightly more fluid than the stock cover. It was 2 plus quarts of gear oil.

    Front tow hook question

These are homemade. The cross bracing was added later at the suggestion of tommudd. The original holes only had to be drilled out slightly. And all that was done to the hitches was an added hole behind the one that you would use to secure it in a hitch. They are grade 8 bolts for sure. And no...

    Front tow hook question

I agree with this. If you wan to count on using the tow points you should go with this route. Here are a couple of pics of how mine ended up looking.

What did you do to your jeep today?

The snow didn't make it more difficult, it was just annoying. What made it hard was that the bolts for the hitch didn't want to come out, and that is what took the most amount of time to do. Although bolting it all back in was a little annoying it was the quickest part of it all.

Leak and worn wire casing under front passenger side

The wiring is to one of the O2 sensors and the wrap on it tends to fall off over time due to dry rot. As long as there are no exposed wires you should be fine. You might want to check and see if you can trace the liquid up. It could be a small oil leak from the valve cover gaskets dripping onto...
