    inner tie rod change...

Sounds like your guy is a bit inept, if he can't know whether it's the rack or a bad tie rod end causing the slop. No, you didn't screw anything up, the guy doing the alignment apparently didn't want to mess with it more. To straighten the steering wheel, you can either crank in or out the tie...

    inner tie rod change...

Could be worn/sloppy rubber rack mounts, could be other stuff. Try looking under the front while a buddy turns the steering wheel left & right, as you watch to see what may be giving where it shouldn't.

    inner tie rod change...

Yes, tighten up or replace the something or the other. Rather hard to give a definite solution without knowing what the problem is. Maybe you can go back and ask the guy what is loose, and write it down.

What did you do to your jeep today?

I would have liked to smear her face in "something". I considered shooting out a tire, but thought better of it.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Almost clipped a BMW X5 on the way home, as she did a lane change with me at the rear quarter. If only I had a steel bumper, I wouldn't have used my brakes. She obviously didn't know how to use a mirror. BMW = Babbling Mindless Wench

Jeep KJ Emergency Brake Adjustment How-To

What you turned is the "self adjuster" that's operated by a lever and cable connected to the brake shoe, which takes up slack as the brake shoes wear. If you have to fiddle with that, then the adjuster isn't working correctly on it's own like it's supposed to.

Rough feel in steering after driving

That's an adjustment made at the outer tie rod ends. For instance, if the steering wheel it rocked to the right when driving, once it's straightened, the drivers side wants to get cranked in, passenger side wants to get cranked out the exact same amount.

Well I had a nice jeep for a week...

The question was a serious one, rusty rocker panel replacement is in my Liberty's future. The hinted "undertone" part was meant to be shaken, not stirred. lol
