    cut down terraflex bumpstops?

Dunno if you did this or not, but did you make sure the new shocks worked correctly before mounting up? I always run new shocks or struts thru a few strokes to make sure they function before going thru all the work of install. Habit I learned from using Gabriel junk for a while.

    cut down terraflex bumpstops?

Weird man. I'm running almost the same setup? and I don't hit. I'm sure it travels a decent amount but I've yet to feel it bottom out.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Heck I'm impressed with the fact it fits under the car port! Look at the cute lil KK in the background, lol. I'll have to blow my horn next time I'm over on your side of town. Just look for the blue KJ with yellow springs lol

What did you do to your jeep today?

Curious what he is doing to the stinkin Lincoln. Pulled mine in today since we are slow, checked tire chain fitment for possible adventure this weekend playing good Samaritan, then figured out what keeps rubbing when going in reverse. Took a saw to the front plastic trim on the bottom of the...

    Trying to decide on springs

One of these days we'll have a meet and greet out here in the mile high state. I'll most likely be up north this weekend helping a community recover from the floods, maybe some Liberty guys will show up?lol. Still waiting on Tom to take that black thing out west. Maybe it'll sit taller...

Front end noise... Anyone had to replace differential bearings?

Sounds like the best bet. The dealer would most likely use an OEM part, but lately in the name of being competitive, I've seen them cut some corners.

    Trying to decide on springs

With Ironman front springs, its going to be hard to hit 23". With 1/2" clevis and the 1/4" top plate I got to 22" barely. OME springs will net you more and with the clevis and top plate you likely will be close to that mark. Tommudd or some of the OME users can comment more on what will do...

    Front End sagging

The clevis pinch bolt is what holds it in place, the spacers are there solely to make the gap consistent. The piece of plastic spacers would never withstand the weight otherwise. I just used a long pry bar, and leveraged the clevis down, used a bolt head to set my gap on both sides of the pinch...

    Front End sagging

Actually you don't have to have the spacers, they just help with making things consistent. I'm not using anything on my clevis, just used a bolt to set the gap before tightening.

Denver and Surrounding Area Meet and Greet

There's a group heading up to one of the towns northeast of Estes next sunday to help with cleanup from last year's flooding. Its a bit of a mess, and the gov't isn't really helping. Looks like a bit of a 4wd adventure to get to the town, lol. Depending on how I'm feeling next weekend, we may...

Front end noise... Anyone had to replace differential bearings?

Granted my methods are not easily replicated by someone at home, but I have a couple of ways to check them. Normal way after test driving, and hearing the noise I lift it up in the air and put it in 4wd. Have an assistant put it in gear and run the vehicle about 30mph. I use a mechanic's...

    Differential gears

Yeah it would of been easier with it apart. Only one set of side bearings instead of two, too lol. My plan is to put a DTT in the back(well the front too) when I do the gears. I don't want to have to pull the front back down, and I don't want to have to tear down the rear as well a second time.

Front end noise... Anyone had to replace differential bearings?

Looking back at the original post, you said its not a list of things, including front hub bearings. How do you know it's not?

    Heater problems, PLEASE HELP!

You can attempt to backflush it with a diluted solution of CLR. Last one we dealt with, it wouldn't remove the slime in the core. One of the issues you will have, is this is a single pass design, and instead of forcing slime or debris out, it will merely flow thru the path of least resistance...

    Heater problems, PLEASE HELP!

That's all you need right there. Heater core is partially obstructed. There should be no difference in temperature between the inlet hose and outlet hose of the heater core. Chances are, its full of slime. I've had a few KKs come in lately with poor heat issues similar to yours. Sadly, you...

    Radiator consistently blowing

Funny this thread came up today. Had a KJ with a 5speed come in today with a cracked tank. Without any tranny cooler to fight, I had the whole thing done in maybe 40 minutes? Sadly, I don't always have a say in where they get their parts and they used a china made radiator lol

    Radiator consistently blowing

Autozone is the first mistake. It is awfully suspicious that you blow them while idling.

What did you do to your jeep today?

There isn't a thing in Iowa for offroading. Heck the tallest thing in the state is probably a member's KJ,lol. Rocky Mountains is the place to be! Wheel for an entire week and not touch pavement.

    Radiator consistently blowing

Have you visually verified the electric cooling fan is working? This is the primary source of cooling the radiator when the vehicle is not moving. Headgasket issues can cause repeat radiator failures as well. As what dude said, aftermarket radiators have been suspect in quality.
