New to the Jeep world! SoCal off roader

In my opinion, the best thing to do is do a proper lift. You will find all the info in this forum. I have performed the OME lift with JBA upper A-arms (see my signature) and my Jeep is much much better on and off road, no comparison to stock...

    ARB Bumper foglights

I do not know. I was looking for this bumper for my KJ and I have seen that the '05-'07 ARB bumper has different turning lights. The '01-'04 bumper uses the OEM turning lights of the '01-'04 KJs. But since this is an old model, they might have discontinued the '01-'04 bumper...

    2 DIN Chrome/silver bezel?

It has silver on the doors also and steering wheel. I like the finish and it seems strange that there is no such 2DIN dash panel. :emotions34:

    tranny computer re flash?

I went to the Dealership, explained what I wanted to do to the mechanic. They did not know what to charge at first and finally I paid something like 10-15Euro's... I see in your signature that you have re-geared (in Greece since I see a Greek name?). Where did you do it (if in Greece) and how...

suggestions for lift ‘05 Renegade for flat terrain

I have lifted mine, and since then I never looked back. Much better handling on and off-road. A friend of mine who owns a JK was astonished with the ride comfort, so he went on and upgraded his Wrangler with an OME lift as well. The KJ is much more comfortable compared to the Wrangler, although...

    Transmission temp warning

I actually bought the aluminium alloy radiator Renegade 04 suggested: https://www.ebay.com/i/272631081960?rmvSB=true I then had the radiator been installed in a shop where they measured the hose lengths in order to connect it to the external radiator (the hoses where made by a specific shop)...

    Transmission temp warning

I used to have the same issue. I only upgraded the radiator with a 2002 radiator with the in radiator transmission cooler then looped it back out to the external cooler. I did not purchase the bigger external cooler (although it would be better) because after that, I monitored the transmission...

Need advice replacing shocks and springs

Been discussed a lot. Cheaper good solution is OME springs with Bilstein or OME shocks. Best solution JBA coilovers. Check http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/f203/lift-faq-read-before-asking-questions-47137/ Personally, I went for the OME lift and my Jeep has nothing to do with how it was with stock...

ARB Bumper and OME Lift Help/Advice

Mine is also downshifting a lot with 245/75R16 and 3.73 gearing. So re-gearing to 4.10 is one of the mods I would like to do next.

ARB Bumper and OME Lift Help/Advice

I agree with everything that has been said. Regarding the front springs, i have installed both. I installed the 926 first. I used them for 5.000km and they flexed very well. The lift was not what i expected and i had problems with my tires (245/75R16). Tom suggested to replace them with the 927...

Warn M8000 into ARB front bumper - 05 KJ

So what you are saying is, that we should operate the winch with the engine off but we have to have the correct battery (like an Odyssey PC1750) in order to be able to provide the required amps?

    ARB CKMA12 Air Compressor

Thanks for the photo's!! Very informative! I will take my time on the installation to find the position that suits me best. Yes, i can see clearly that there is a lot of space there... My seats are also not powered, so the space is the same.:icon_razz: It looks a lot like the one i've got (ARB...

    ARB CKMA12 Air Compressor

Yes, for the time being, it will be used to inflate the tyres. Later on, if my economics permit it, I plan to add a rear locker or both lockers, so i need to have space for three switches. How did you fit it under the seat? This is a good alternative to the engine installation. I have seen some...

    ARB CKMA12 Air Compressor

Thanks Charles for the info and photo's! Very helpful! I thought of that, but I prefer to install it in the engine. :happy175: Here in Greece, this cannot be done, because if they accepted the tools after being sold, everybody would do it!!!:happy175: I am thinning of using a metalic plate...
