Any tricks getting the top to fit in - seems about 1/4 inch to wide and I don't want to bend the mount any more. Should I grind the metal bushing inside the rubber grommet? Thanks..
I purchased the victor gaskets from the local parts store - cost with tax was 74 dollars, next time I won't be in a hurry and just get them from rockauto for 25 dollars.
They were made in china also..
I think Luk and sachs are now the same which is what I used, But Yes stay with OEM or Luk- I replaced my original clutch at 140K and it still had lots of meat still on it.
I've had mine apart and after 140k my flywheel showed no wear - used 180 grit sandpaper as per shop manual.
Also I picked up a used flywheel before doing my clutch just in case I needed it from an 02 liberty and with a straightedge I could not find any curve, but the manual does state there is...
Normally I would say yes - just change the compressor dryer/receiver but if you had a noisy compressor even when the clutch is not energized you may have a bad bearing sending some crap in the refrigeration lines.
You can pour the oil into the compressor, The best way to add refrigerant is by weight - use a refrigerant scale, You may have to jumper the switch on the low pressure side to keep the compressor running when adding the r-134.
It is very important that the system is dry/clean, run the vacuum...
