Towed a Fun Finder Trailer From Florida to Kansas City Mo.

Sounded like fun! (Cheers) Interesting about it eating gas! Yeah, Jeeps are like a block in the wind. I find that I can get about 23 mpg (V6) at 65 mph, and 21 mpg at 75 mph!

Check Engine Light On - Code P0038

It's only got under 18k on it, and yes, lots of short trips. Think that has something to do with it?

    Alittle odd?

A battery shouldn't go dead after a week (unless the lights were left on!).

Check Engine Light On - Code P0038

I left the KJ at the airport for the last several days. Early this morning when I started it up, the check engine light came back on with the same code. Look like I'll have to take it in next week. Plus I need the ball joints replaced... Thanks Tim for your comments.

Check Engine Light On - Code P0038

Tim, I just went to UPS... started it up and no light. So I guess I won't be taking it in unless it pops back up. Again, it was kind of weird how it happened right after filling the tank?! Oh well... so much for the excitement! At least I learned how to read codes...lol.

Check Engine Light On - Code P0038

Thanks for the info. guys. The light came on right after fill up. It made me stop and check to see if I had left the gas cap off! (biggrin) Actually I am still under warranty until the end of May, so I'll take it in next week and let you know. P.S. It's amazing that a modern vehicle runs...

Haloween Badlands Run - Sat 10/28/06

Unfortunately I can't make this. Deer season is coming up and my neighbor and I are going to take the Muzzleloaders out of mothballs and get them sighted in that day. I'll try and catch you guys in the future, as I'm sure it's a lot of fun to go in a group (plus to have someone to pull me out...

    Wrangler Roll

It was a lady that was driving that TJ. Here are photos and the story on it. Stu is a regular poster at both JU and JF and has a pretty cool web site. Be sure to look around. http://www.stu-offroad.com/guards/sportbar/roll-4.htm

    Your thoughts of THIS commander?

I love the Commander lifted. I don't know why Jeep just doesn't sell a special edition of each model lifted and ready to go? Oh yeah, and that TJ needs more of a lift for those tires (can you say rubbing?!).

Less Then 8,000 Miles... New Radiator

So today I had to have a new radiator installed. I think the old radiator had been leaking for awhile. It was a very small amount that I noticed a few weeks back... just like a few drops on the garage floor. It was more on Sunday... so I took it in this morning. I'm not sure if my last...

    Keyless Entry FOB

Tim, looks like it will work, at least that's what their telling you as long as you have one that does work. I'd try it... not much money and if it keeps you out of your friendly Jeep dealer. \:D/

    EVIC: installed and working great!

Nice install... and I can see that about having to have nerve to cut that hole in the headliner! Can't take it back... lol. Sorry for the Renny, btw. Very sad... :-({|=

Check Engine Light On - Code P0038

Tonight right after filing up the gas tank I had a check engine light come on. Before I got home, I went ahead and made sure that the gas cap was on tight (obvious thing to check!), and it was. Once home, I tried to read the codes on my '04. I've never been able to get any codes by the fist...

    Winter versus summer fuel

My mpg always goes down in winter. It could be the cold weather and taking longer to warm up, at least on short trips. But I too have heard that it's the fuel, to cut back on air pollution. Sounds kind of weird to have vehicles burn more fuel to get cleaner air! confused.gif
