What did you do to your jeep today?

Put her up on jack stands, dropped the transmission pan, changed the filter, cleaned the pan inside & out, painted the outside of the pan, new gasket & pan back on. New ATF+4 full synthetic fluid. When I dropped the pan, I inspected & cleaned the magnet & was pleased it was virtually free of...

    ARB Bumper Install

I thought 927's were the heaviest duty OME springs you can get for the liberty? I will be adding a winch (one of the main reasons for having that bumper). 790's instead?

    ARB Bumper Install

That's correct. Going to get 927's up front with new struts BEFORE the ARB bumper. Sometime next year, when I get the bumper in the driveway I'll take a look at how it hooks up and I "assume" there might be instructions that come with the bumper. I think I'll need to modify the front fender...

    ARB Bumper Install

I've been considering buying an ARB bumper for my 2004 KJ Limited. The OP's link for the install instructions is now a dead link. Anyone else out there have a copy they can share?

Water leak- passenger side- quick fix

Dunno. Found a mouse nest and a snake skin under the cowl. When I removed the air cleaner housing & took the old filter out I found a dead mouse in there also! This KJ had been abandoned in the back yard by the ex-wife for almost a year. She did keep going out, starting it and drive it once in...

Serpentine Belt Tensioner - Watch Out For This

Mine is all original at 207K, so I guess I got lucky. However it is one of the parts I'm changing this week seeing how I needed to do the belt anyway. New one already sitting on my bench awaiting install.

What did you do to your jeep today?

Sealed the weld area on the passenger side under the wipers cowl and stopped a persistent water leak on the passenger side.

Water leak- passenger side- quick fix

Reference my previous post with picture...the weld (lower left of the picture...covered in debris) had what looked like a couple gaps. Since I had run out of silicone RTV I ended up cleaning the area real good & sprayed 3 coats of clear Flex Seal over the holes, cleaned up the cowl area and put...

Water leak- passenger side- quick fix

Took the cowl off, removed the air intake baffle and noticed the seal while in one piece looked old & worn. So...after cleaning the entire area and the mounting surfaces of the piece I put down a thin bead of silicone on the underside of the baffle, put the seal back in place then ran another...
