What did you do to your jeep today?

Welded the chassis, changed n/s track rod end, changed o/s lower ball joint and wheel bearing and adjusted handbrake up. Hopefully it will pass the MOT now.

N/S TRACK ROD END ? Didn't know we had a track rod on a KJ , as much as I have been under a bunch of them..................
O/S LOWER BALL JOINT ??

O/S LOWER BALL JOINT ??
Translation? Yes I believe he lifted the bonnet, then crawled under to do some sort of chassis welding. Also replaced the tie rod end, outside lower ball joint, & wheel bearing.
Once completed, the tools were placed back into the boot. ;)

Do they do 100,000 mile ones, I have a couple of 200,000 mile ones
or wait maybe I did get a 100,000 mile one several years ago
If so need to more

My Dad used to say ( if he didn't understand someones language ) that it must be Swahili
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be married to a native Swahili speaker , let alone Professor who teaches it ;)
Funny world


My father used to sat that also.
He would also swear from time to time in Korean. (he fought in the Korean War)
A few years after dad died, My brother, Mike, met and married a Korean and now lives over their and teaches English in a Business school.

Same kind of weird coincidence.o_O

Sunny day & good fall day for cleaning & maintenance.
Removed the plastic cowl to clean the air intake.
You must be registered for see images attach

A little red wheel bearing grease helps on wiper arm pivot areas.

Finished re-installing the carpet & giving it yet another good vacuuming. Installed the trim all around, reinstalled the center console after cleaning it, installed the driver's seat & torqued the 3 bolts/1 nut, reattached the driver's seat belt anchor bolt to the seat & torqued it, replaced the gas struts holding the back glass open, put the rear bench seat in (but did not bolt it yet).

^interesting video. Packed snow adds to traction.
What also is really needed for winter tire testing is with hard packed ice below and snow, & then just ice, where studs are very helpful.
If it's really deep snow, better have some chains handy.
