when messing with wires you have to disconnect negative port for battery? right?

You always un-hook the negative first. We do this so to protect ourselves and the components on the vehicle. So if you accidentally hit the wrench, or what ever you are using, to the vehicle while disconnecting the battery you will not short anything out. Once the negative is disconnected you...

    new owner problem with 4wd

Depending on ths size difference of the tires, driving it in fulltime for a small distance i.e. to the repair shop, is not going to be the end of the world. Is it going to add some heat to the transfer case, yes but if you keep low speed and only drive as far as you NEED to and that is a...

    Bed lining the flares?

I was thinking of doing the same to the flares and rockers like tjkj but I have a maroon liberty and am unsure of how it would look. The Silver and black would look nice I think.

    Looking for something new

WK with the diesel? Gives you and the dogs a little more room. Should pull plenty and get decent fuel economy. Diesel WK: Fuel Economy - JeepForum.com Only other decent option I see.

    Building a Steel Front Bumper

Thanks for the tips! I picked up a used Lincoln Easy Mig 140 and have yet to use it. I really need to break this thing out but other projects and general lack of funds keep me from doing what I want to.

    sleeping in your jeep...

I am 5'9" and can lay pretty comfortably diagonally in the back of the KJ. I Usually just grab all of the blankets and pillows I can find around the house and throw back there before a trip. Its not bad for a night or two rest. I imagine if anyone is any taller there would be some problems...

    lights- suggestions

The LED lamps are too small for just a plug and play type of deal. You would have to fab something up to get them to work right. I have been looking in to HID kits as they are priced pretty decent now.

    SabaII's BERT

Going to be putting in a sub and amp in the next couple of weeks. I did a How-to write up on replacing the Infinities up in the front doors. I have some Kenwoods in there now and they really took away the lows which is fine since they are not ment for that. Thats why I am getting a sub. I...

Not quite powerful enough to tow?

I agree with tjkj. There is no one set magical number that fuel economy suddenly gets worse. Ever wonder why the national speed limit and the number at which your fuel economy supposedly drops off are the same?

Good things come to those who wait!

I will definitely keep everyone updated on my build page. Like I said I was not ready to purchase a lift and I still have other priorities over the lift (skids, lockers and gears) but since I got the deal it is going in as is. Then when more funds become available I will lift higher and get...

Good things come to those who wait!

Hmm. You seem to be correct. :disgust: There is no tag or anything on them so I was just going by what I was told. There was a tag on the fronts so I know those are right. I wonder what they are then. ~EDIT~ Just found this pic...

Good things come to those who wait!

Nope not yet anyhow. I am currently running 235/75/16 's and do not want to go too high and make the tires look small. I am mainly doing the lift to replace my saggy OE springs and clear the one size larger tire I did go. When I have some more $$$ I will do everything to get max lift, then...
