Transfer case/ front end noise
Maybe, just maybe the inner CV cup and intermediate shaft have developed a loose relationship. Seems, in my case anyways, that the intermediate shaft may round off it's end given enough time and start skipping splines in the passenger side inner CV cup. My KJ enjoys an absence of ABS, both left and right hubs were the same PN. Easy enough job to tackle in the garage/driveway. The noise goes away when you turn because of how the load is presented to the bearing surface during a change in direction. If it's growling in the footwells when going...- ptsb5a

Pretty extensive list, could learn to do it all yourself and save a butt load of cash. Not really all that difficult. I call bullshit on the chassis lube, unless of course they sprayed it with your used engine oil. All of the stock bits on a KJ are lube-for-life and cannot be serviced...- ptsb5a

Mitch, I don't have my owners manual real handy but I'm pretty sure that if you don't tow a bunch some 75W90 will be fine. Conventional oil has been around a long time and works just fine. Stick with good service intervals and I cannot forsee any trouble. Besides, if it's cheaper, changing it... -
