Shakes after lift and new tires?

No it isn't a good thing. I've replaced my u joints twice since lifting. Mind you, I'm at 86000 miles and lifted it when it had less than 6000 on it. At $30 for two u-joints every 40K miles I think it's OK.

    Post Your KJ in Snow!

On snow. It got above freezing last week and we had rain, now it's -15F. Jayme, I got a line on 5 Moab style TJ wheels. $300. Have to drive a 400 miles round trip to get them.

Got my Taxes back, upgrade time!

Just promise me that you'll go with the CRD springs up front. Once the bumper is on you'll understand. Especially when your KJ is dragging it's chin everywhere!!

    Cradle Drop

Bump up the post count. Alright, seems like forever ago that I did this. Since then... left the 1/4" plates in place. Finally came to an agreement on the RRO parts, they suck hard. Got JBA 4.5s, way nicer parts. The alignment went AOK, carried out by the tech at the dealer who has done a...

    Suspension tool kit

I beleive that the upper ball joint nut was a 24mm. Could be wrong though, haven't had stock upper ball joint or UCA for a few years now. A long tapered punch, or alignment tool works well to center the clevis over the bushing before putting the bolt back through. Other suspension tools...

    Looking at a Liberty

Keep in mind that the suspension on one that you test drive will most likely be bagged out. Stock springs/shocks suck. I have a 10 year old and a 12 year old and often make long road trips with them in the summer. They've never complained. And there's room for baggage too. I totally get...

    Looking at a Liberty

'cept better. :smokin: Jody, I've had mine since new as well. 85,000 miles later and no issues. Pretty capable when well equiped. Not quite the aftermarket that an XJ has but there's still some there. With a few simple mods the KJ is a rewarding ride. So.... boo the naysayers. I love my KJ.

    Slight steering wheel wobble

About an hour per side and the cost of the hub unit. Do it yourself, it's not hard at all. Check a how-to I posted about it. Only special tool you need is the e-Torx socket.
